AC Installation (New & Used)

Whether you have a new or used AC or want to relocate one, we provide professional installation that ensures ideal cooling and a longer lifespan. The work includes copper rough-in, mounting both units at the correct slope, a run-test and an installation warranty. Wrong installation means weak cooling and early faults, so we follow correct standards.

What we fix

  • New split AC install
  • Uninstall and relocate
  • Copper rough-in and piping
  • Safe used-AC install
  • Fixing a bad installation

Tips before installing your AC

Choose the indoor unit location away from heat sources and where air distributes well, and ensure the outdoor unit is well ventilated. We help you pick the right cooling capacity (tonnage) for the room size and guarantee clean rough-in that extends the AC's life and keeps it efficient.

Correct installation steps, and why they matter

Wrong installation is the hidden cause behind a large share of the faults we're later called out to, so we follow a fixed order. We choose the indoor unit's position so air reaches the room without hitting an obstruction, and the outdoor unit's position so it gets fresh air and doesn't re-ingest its own hot exhaust. We mount the indoor unit with a very slight tilt toward the drain side — this step alone prevents the most common later dripping problem. We run the copper lines by the shortest possible route and insulate them fully. Then comes the step many skip: vacuuming air and moisture out of the lines with a vacuum pump before releasing the gas. Skipping the vacuum leaves moisture in the circuit that freezes, blocks the capillary tube and permanently weakens cooling.

How to choose the right capacity for your room

Choosing the wrong capacity creates a problem no later repair can fix. The rough rule: every 20 to 25 square metres needs about one ton of cooling. But that rule needs adjusting upward in cases common in Riyadh: rooms in direct sun most of the day, rooms with large windows or single glazing, top floors directly under the roof, and kitchens or rooms occupied by more people. Choosing less capacity than needed means an AC that runs non-stop and never reaches the target temperature, raising the bill and wearing the compressor out early. Choosing far more means rapid cooling then frequent cycling that leaves the room humid and uncomfortable. We help you pick the right capacity before you buy.

Uninstalling, relocating and refitting an AC

Relocating an AC is more delicate than it looks, and what damages units most is losing the refrigerant during removal. The correct method starts by pumping the gas back into the outdoor unit and sealing it there before disconnecting the lines — called a pump-down — rather than letting it escape. Then we disconnect the lines and cap their ends to keep out dust and moisture, and remove both units carefully while protecting the fins from bending. At the new location we repeat the full original installation sequence including the vacuum and slope setting. If the new run is longer than the old one, we add the appropriate amount of gas. We finish with a run test and a temperature-difference measurement to confirm performance matches what it was before the move.

Installation errors that cause later faults

We see these errors every week in units installed by others. Skipping the vacuum before releasing the gas — the costliest mistake long term. Mounting the indoor unit perfectly level with no tilt, so dripping starts within weeks. Leaving the drain hose coiled or kinked behind the unit so it traps water. Placing the outdoor unit in a tight space with no ventilation clearance. Using electrical cable of a smaller cross-section than the AC's load, or branching it off a lighting circuit instead of a dedicated breaker — a genuine fire risk. Not torquing the copper joints correctly so gas leaks away gradually over months. Leaving the copper line under-insulated or exposed to the sun. If someone else installed your AC and you notice any of these, ask for an inspection before it becomes a fault.
